We're Alive...just been travelin'

Alrighty, I thought our blog had gone long enough without any kind of update . . . so I'm going to at least make half-hearted attempt at a post and will let Kristi make things look nice when she finally has some time to work on this.

Over the past month we have been rollin' . . . literally! We've put over 4,000 miles on our 4Runner and spent $800 in gas travelling to Moab, Denver, Dallas, Albuquerque, and St. George. All in the span of 3 weeks' time! Needless to say, Justin and Savannah feel like their car seats are permanent growths to their backsides. Anyhow, here's a brief summary of our travels . . .

April 17 – 19 Moab
· Camping with the Colyar family in beautiful Moab.
· Spent our first night in a tent as a family of four.
· ATV trails galore!! Kristi and Savannah loved the 4-wheelers as much as I did.
· Savannah’s favorite part of the trip was getting muddy with Blake in the Colorado River.

April 25 – May 5 Texas
· Passed through Denver and stayed for two days with my buddy from BYU, Jess Grossman MD . His wife Kelly fed us like royalty – she’s a killer cook!!
· Drove 15 hours from Denver to Frisco, TX.
· Stayed with the Hoaldridge family. Much thanks to them! Savannah and Austin kept kissing!! When we asked Austin why they kissed he replied, “Cuz she’s my giiirrllfrieend!!”
· BBQ with the Gomez family and my Tahitian Noni friends.
· Shopping, eating out, hanging out with all our great friends from Texas.
· Savannah playing non-stop with Austin or the Dyer girls. Thanks to the Dyers for dinner and letting us hang out for hours.
· BBQ and swimming party with old TX friends thanks to Nikki and Brent.

. Craig rode his bike 82 miles in one day as part of the MS 150.
· Drove to Albuquerque the day after the bike ride. Stayed with my mission buddy, Allen Riddle. His wife Traci and beautiful daughter Lexi fed us delicious BBQ ribs and were great hosts. Much thanks to them.
· Drove from ABQ to American Fork – Justin only screamed for 30 minutes. So we survived.

May 9 – 11 St. George
· This past weekend we went to St. George with the Colyar family so that me, Chad, and Dan could participate in the St. George Triathlon.
· Stayed at Ryan & Megan Robinson’s vacation townhome. Big time thanks to them for letting us crash at their place.
· Kristi shopped.
· Craig sucked it up at the triathlon. 25 mph winds prevailed. The swim was cancelled and Dan and Chad left me in the dust on the bike.
· Golden Coral was fantastic with 19 family members. Thanks to my parents, Kev & Steph, and Uncles Dave and Ken who came down to support and hang out.
